Yoga classes are typically scheduled daily at 9 am and 4 pm or 5 pm, hosted by various studios across the town. Class prices typically range from $12 to $15, and there are discounted package options available. To ensure accurate information on prices and class schedules, it's advisable to call ahead or check online.

Tortuga Island Snorkelling & Scuba Diving

Embark on a full-day expedition from Montezuma to the enchanting Tortuga Island. Explore the vibrant marine life around a volcanic reef, take a refreshing swim in crystal-clear waters, and relax on the stunning white-sand beach! Experience the complete Tortuga Island Snorkeling adventure, with the added option of scuba diving. Upon your arrival at the island, a dedicated diving boat will be ready to take you to two distinct immersion points. Enjoy visibility ranging from 7 to 15 meters, providing the opportunity to marvel at impressive volcanic formations, encounter large schools of fish, observe rays, and morays, and even spot white-tip sharks.

Montezuma Waterfalls

Directions from Mal Pais: Begin by driving south from Havana Lodge for approximately 5 minutes until you arrive at Mary's restaurant. Take a left turn at Mary's and continue along the jungle road until you reach the picturesque town of Cabuya. Turn left at Cabuya and follow the coastal road for about 15-20 minutes until you reach a narrow bridge. On the left, just before crossing the bridge, you'll find the parking lot for the waterfalls. Park here for a fee of $2 and then follow the path upriver for approximately 20 minutes to reach a stunning and expansive waterfall. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes or sandals for the hike.

Horseback Riding

A sandy cove, sheltered by a rock reef, invites you to witness fish playing in the surf. Ideal for snorkeling and swimming, this often deserted spot is adjacent to Cabo Blanco’s protected marine reserve. Guided tours are available, or you can rent snorkel gear and explore this area on your own.

Mal Pais Fishing Boat Trip

Embark on an unforgettable adventure in the untouched waters of the Nicoya Peninsula with local fishermen! Depending on the time of year, you have the opportunity to reel in mahi-mahi, yellowfin tuna, Spanish mackerel, barracuda, grouper, and more, all while encountering sea turtles and dolphins. Dive into the crystal-clear, bubbly waters around an underwater volcano, and decide whether to release your catch or bring it home. Your guide can expertly fillet your fish immediately after the 3-hour tour, offering the choice to savor it sashimi-style. Remember to pack essentials such as sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, water, snacks, and, of course, an ample supply of chilled beer!

Stand-Up Paddle Boarding, commonly known as "SUP," stands out as one of the world's fastest-growing water sports. Offering a fantastic all-body workout, it's relatively easy to learn and guarantees loads of fun. What makes SUP unique is that, being upright on the water, you enjoy splendid views of marine life beneath you and the surrounding tropical scenery. The SUP tours kick off from Mal Pais, guiding you along the coast towards the renowned Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve at the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula. Typically lasting between 60 to 90 minutes, these tours are best suited for the calm waters of early mornings or serene afternoons around sunset.

Cabo Blanco National Reserve Hike

Situated in one of Costa Rica's most stunning nature reserves, Cabo Blanco stands out for its distinctive geography and climate.
